You should finish your report with a final paragraph- Mr. Boardman hasn't been to see the show, SO should he spend his money to go and watch it or not? Remember reasons WHY!!- don't just write yes!
The WIZARD OF OZ is a funny,sad and happy story put together. Its about a young girl called Dorathy she was taken to a magical land called munchkin land. When she landed on munchkin land she killed the witch of the east then the dead witches sister appeared and was so angry at Dorathy for killing her sister. then dorathy wanted to go back home then the munchkins told her to follow the yellow brick road to the grate wizard of oz on the way she met a scarecrow and a lion and a tine man. they also needed help from the wizard of oz the witch followed them and scared them at end they all got what they came for and the witch died

ReplyDeleteMr. Boardman should watch the 'wizard of oz',because they sang beautifully,they acted so well that i thought they were real actors and actresses and some songs were really exciting especially the part when mice sing and dance!!
I really liked the lart when the wizard changed his looks whenever people came in.
It frighend me,when the wicked west witch came out and yelled at Dorothie and Toto.
They acted very well when the storm blew her house and people danced and it creeped me out!!! Sometimes,lights were out because they had to move things around.
I felt happy when Dorothie and Toto came back home and told her mum all her adventures she had had.It was all wonderful and Toto was very cute therefore Mr.Board man should watch the'wonderful wizard of oz'.

Dorothy and Toto got blown away by a cyclone.
And they appeared in the land of Oz.
There they met a good witch who tells her where the wizard of Oz lives to help her go back
to Kansas.
and so Dorothy follows the yellow brick road and on the way there she meets a Scarecrow who can't move, so Dorothy takes the stick off his back so he can move and he asks where he can get a brain.
They go across the yellow brick road and then they meet a rusty Tin man who is made of metal and can't move either so Dorothy sprays oil on him and then he asks her for a heart.
Then they continue following the yellow brick road and they find a lion lying on the grass trying to sleep but then the Lion hears them and scares them. They get angry at the Lion because he had hurt Toto, but the Lion turns sad and asks for courage.
After walking for a while they find the Emerald city where you need to wear sunglasses or you'll turn blind. So a strange man gives them sunglasses.
then they meet the wizard of Oz and they all ask for what they need but the Wizard says they have to kill the wicked witch of the West first.
so they go back and Dorothy finds the wicked witch and the witch gives her a bucket of water but Dorothy pours the water on the wicked witch causing her to melt. then they go back to the wizard of Oz but he says come back tomorrow but they say no so they all ask again so he gives them all what they need and tells Dorothy that her shiny slippers can take her home so she arrives in Kansas and meets her Uncle and Auntie.
Yes mr.Board man you should watch it because it was very interesting and exciting and its worth the money
Review for wizard of OZ! The characters were very awesome. They was Dorothy, wicked witch, scarecrow,tinman,lion coward and the wizard of OZ! The setting is in Dorothy's house and Oz. What happens is Dorothy was stuck in storm and a cyclone came then she turned out to be in Oz. She saw a nice witch. She asked the witch to get her back to her country. Then she went to see the wizard. On the way she saw a scarecrow he wanted a wish. He wanted a brain. She cared on her journey. Then she saw a tinman he wanted a heart. They cared on she saw a lion coward he wanted courage. They finally reached the wizard but the wizard said that you have to kill the wicked witch.They all tried to kill her but then Dorothy put water on her face and the wicked witch and she melted. The wizard game everybody there wish. I think Mr.broadman should go because he will feel like batman came and he went to a wonderful place.

ReplyDeleteA storm came up and she was hit by a window pane and was left unconscious. She wakes up to discover the house was being carried by a cyclone.
The house lands in the technicolor World of Oz, in Munchkin land. Dorothy is greeted by Glinda,the good witch of the north.
As the house lands it kills the wicked witch of the east.This made Dorothy in trouble with her sister,the wicked witch of the west.The witch wanted the ruby slippers but Glinda transfers them to Dorothy's feet instead. After this the witch wanted to get revenge so Dorothy was no longer safe in Oz. To protect Dorothy, Glinda tells her to follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City where the Wizard of Oz who can help her get back home.
On her way she meets the Scarecrow, Tin man and Cowardly Lion. They decided to join Dorothy to ask the Wizard of Oz to give them a brain for the Scarecrow, a heart for the Tin man and courage for the Lion. When they met the Wizard, he promised to grant them their wishes if they could kill the wicked witch of the west and bring back the spellphone and the broomstick.
On their way to the witch's castle, Dorothy and Toto are captured by the witch's flying monkeys. Toto saw that Dorothy was in danger, so he escaped and went to fetch the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion. When they arrived they were all captured so Dorothy had a plan and decided to throw a bucket of water to the witch, which made her melt. The guards saw that the witch was dead they were so glad, they said that they too were slaves. As a present they gave her the spellphone and the broomstick.
They wanted to return and all of the sudden the queen mice came and took them back to Emerald City. When they arrived they visited the Wizard again and he granted the wishes to the Lion, Tin man and Scarecrow. To Dorothy the Wizard would only grant her the wish if she promised that he could go with her back to Kansas. She agreed and all of the sudden there was a hot air balloon, but unfortunately he left without Dorothy.
Luckily for Dorothy, the northern witch appeared and told Dorothy that she could only go home if she tapped her feet with the ruby slippers and say "there's no place like home".
I feel that Mr Boardman would really enjoy seeing the "The Wizard of Oz" show because it was funny and full of adventure.

ReplyDeleteFirst it was a sunny nice day, then a terrible storm came, which wiped out the farm and took Dorthoy's house flying in the sky. Dorthy meet all the characters. They went to the Wiard of OZ, and the Wizard sent them to the black forest, then lightening strickes. They meet the Black Witch and they kill her. Then Dorthoy goes home. It was a very funny play.
Yes you should see the play, because the play has a slight little twist in it that makes it differnet from the original Wizard of OZ.
I liked the secondary show The wizard of oz because it was funny and there was a lot of songs and dancing.
ReplyDeleteThis how it starated.Dorothys aunt and unkle were painting the door then a man came and tried to sell books but they didnt want the books so the man went away.
Then Dorothy came with Toto.Her unkle said there was a storm comming.They went to a safe place but Dorothy didnt go because she couldnt find Toto.When the storm was gone Dorothy and Toto came out.They noticed they werent in Kansas any more.
Dorothy didnt know where they were.There were people lying on the floor.They started to get up.Dorothy said where am ı.One of the people told her that she killed the wicked witch of the East.The people were happy of that.But then the wicked witch of the West came and asked her did you kill my sister.Dorothy said ı didnt mean to it was a accident.Then a woman came and told the witch that Dorothy had the silver shoes and she was more powerful than her with them.I will get you Dorothy and ı will get the silver shoes said the witch before leaving.Dorothy didnt know where or how to get back home she felt worried.She asked the woman and the woman told her to follow the yellow brick road and go to the wizard of oz. So Dorothy followed the yellow brick road and on the way she met a scare crow.The scare crow spoke but Dorothy didnt know who it was.Toto said that the scare crow talked but Dorothy didnt belive him.The scare crow talked again now she did belive it.The scare crow said that he couldnt scare anyone because he didnt have a brain Dorothy told him that he could go with her to the wizard.On their way they saw a tree Dorothy picked a apple the tree srarted to throw apples at them.Then they noticed a tin man.He was upset because he had no heart .Come with us said the scare crow we are going to the wizord of oz thank you said the tin man.On their way they saw a lion.The lion started chasing Toto.Dorothy said to the lion you should be ashamed of yourself for chasing a little dog.Your right said the lion ı have no courage.Come with us to the wizard of oz said Dorothy.The lion was happy.They went to the Wizard of oz.The wizard said that they should kill the wicked witch of the west and bring her broom stick.So they went.The witch took Dorothy and told her to mop the floor.Then the witch pulled the shoe off Dorothys foot.Dorothy poured the water over the witch and she melted.They took the witches broom stick to the wizard and the wizard said to the scare crow you already have a brain and he gave a little cusion coverd in pins.To the tin man he said yuo already have a heart and he gave him a cushion that had the shape of a heart.To the lion he said you have courage and he gave her a bottle of water to drink.To Dorothy he said ı have to take you back to Kansas in my hotair balloon.They went in but Toto ran away Dorothy ran after Toto.The wizard had alredy left.Then the woman came she told her to bump her shoes together three times and say theres no place like home.Dorothy did what she told her to and she was there in no time.
I think Mr Bordman should watch it because it was funny.

ReplyDeleteA girl called Dorothy came running to his uncle and she has a dog, next a storm comes and the girl cant find her dog so she gets lost. Then a witch comes and says we have heard a witch came and asked are you the witch that killed the bad witch and the answer is no. While they are talking suddenly another witch comes who is wicked and says to Dorothy, (the girl with the dog) are you the one who killed my sister the other wicked witch and Dorothy says it was an accident but the witch says I will kill you and then leaves. The good witch says take these slippers and wear them and then go to the Wizard Of Oz he is the only one who can get you home and the way to him is the yellow brick road. So Doroth follows the yellow brick road.
On her way she meets a scarecrow who does not have a brain and wishes to have one so Dorothy says come with me to the Wizard Of Oz he will give you a brain. So both of them go on there way they see an apple tree who is mean and starts to throw apples on Dorothy, so they run away. Next they meet a man made out of tin who wants a heart so Dorothy says come with me to the Wizard Of Oz he might give you a heart, so they continue on there way. Next they go in a forest where there is a lion who needs courage so Dorothy says come with me to the Wizard Of Oz, so they go on there way.
On there way they see the witch again and she drops some fruits witch make them faint but a rat comes and saves them, so they continue. When they reached the Wizard Of Oz he said you will first have to kill the witch then I will give you what you wish for. Then Dorothy and her friends go to the witches castle, when they had reached they saw the witch and she took Dorothy. So the witch said why don't you clean the floor before dying so when Dorothy got up she left her silver shoe on the ground so the witch took the shoe. Dorothy through water on her and she melted, suddenly her friends came and they returned to the Wizard Of Oz. He kept his promise and gave the tin man a heart the lion courage and gave the scarecrow a brain but when the Wizard Of Oz was about to the magic for Dorothy but she missed it because her dog went. So then the good witch came and said you can do magic for yourselve and go back so she told her and she went back.
You should watch the show because it was a lot of hard work by the children, because it is a really realistic play and because the songs are also really good
Dorothy= She is homesick, and had loyalty and empathy for her friends.

The Lion= She feels sad because she needs courage, but then she gets it and she is happy.
The Scarecrow= He feels sad all the time because needs a brain at the start, then when he gets it, Dorothy leaves and he gets very sad.
The wicked witch of the West= hates Dorothy because Dorothy killed her sister when the house fell on her.
The good witch of the North= She feels empathy for Dorothy, and feels sorry for Dorothy.
Plot=
Dorothy and her pet dog Toto blow away to the world of Oz. When they land, she lands on the wicked witch of the East, and kills her. She then gets the silver slippers. The good witch of the North says she must follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City, to seek out the Wizard of Oz. On the way to the Emerald City, she finds a scarecrow in a field that needs a brain. She says he can come to the wizard to get himself a brain. Next she meets a tin man and she gives him oil, but he needs a heart, so he comes with them too. Next she meets a lion with no courage so he comes with them as well. They reach the Emerald City and the Wizard of Oz tells them they can get what they want if they kill the wicked witch of the West first. Dorothy kills the witch by putting a bucket of water over her and she melts. The wizard gives them all what they want and Dorothy goes to her home.
Mr Boardman should go to see the show, because it is very funny but Toto is the funniest. Also he should go to see the show, because the singing was amazing and they sang loudly.
So the characters were the dog the girl the iron man the scarecrow the lion and the which.
ReplyDeleteThe girl felt bad because she was lost in the storm the iron man felt bad because he did not have a heart the scarecrow felt bad because he did not have a brain the lion felt bad because he did not have courage and at last the which felt angry because of the girl killed one of her sister.
The girl was in her house then a storm came at the house then she get's in OZ and she is surrounded by witches and suddenly she acsidently she kills the north which and the east which gets angry on the girl then the girl finds the scarecrow then the iron man then the lion then they try to go to the wizard of OZ they all had to kill the which the which capture the girl and told to clean the castle then the girl throw's the water at the which and the which has melted and all of the witches were happy the girl went to the wizard of OZ and said we killed the which he gave all of them the wish they wanted but the girl did not so the wizard of OZ took a hot air balloon to go home but she missed it but she found out that her shoe can take her back.
You should go to the show because it is funny it is nice to watch and you might see that it is interesting to watch the show!!!

Feelings=They were quite scared at first but after they got the things that they want, they were all happy.
I didn't like the show of wizard of Oz because I read and watched the story a lot so I know it well. Also I like watching movie rather then watching the show.
There was a girl called Dorothy who was living in Kensas. One day, her house blowed up by a huge storm, she was looking for her dog called Toto so she couldn't come out of her house. Her house fell on the witch of east so she was killed. She met Scarecrow, Metal man and lion. They all need someting that they actually ment to have. They met wizard of Oz but he told them to kill witch of west. Dorothy poured her a water then she melted her so she died. They went to see wizard of Oz to get the thing but he said come tomorrow then Toto opened the curtain so they could get the things what they needed. Dorothy couldn't go to her house because Toto went out of her hand. She met witch of north and she helped Dorothy and Toto to go back to her house.
I think the show was great, becouse everyone spoke loudly and it haa a relly nice setting, The costumes were perfect so you can tell exact what character it was.
ReplyDeleteIn the beggining Dorothy is happy at the farm in Kanzas, but then the wicked witch makes a horrible storm. Dorothies favourite dog Toto frightens because of it and runs away. Dorothy runs to get him, but meanwhile the storm lifts her of the ground.
Soon she finds herself in a wonderful place. Dorothy is frightend and unsure. She sees the witch on the ground dead. Then Glinda apears, she is really happy because Dorothy destroyed the wicked witch. Dorothy wants to go home badly, so Glinda tells Dorothy to follow the yellowbrick road to the Emerald city to see the wizard of oz.
Dorothy and Toto walk into a field full of crows. In the middle there is scare crow. Dorothy is very surpriesd when it starts to talk. The scarecrow tells her that he really wants a brain. Dorothy tells him to come with them to see the wizard of oz. Then they walk in to a forest there is a strange apple tree that doesn’t want to be picked. As they walk past the tree they notice a tin-man. He there was total stuck and he couldn’t move. Dorothy oiled him and he said he had no heart. They desided to go see the wisard together. Suddenly they hear a roar. It was a lion they were really scared, but then the lion tries to hurt Toto. Dorothy tells him he is not a brave lion. The lion says he is reallycoward. They all go together with the lion.
Suddenly a poppy field apears. It is coursed by wicked witch. Dorothy, Toto and the lion fell asleep. The tin man and Scare crow couldn’t manage to take them out of the field, but then they meet a mouse being chased by a cat. Tin man saved her and he asked them to take their friends out of the popy field.
Soon they are all out off the fied and at the Emerald city. The wizard wants them to destroy the other wicked witch in return. They have to try to go there so they set of. On their way the witch tries to destoy them. She takes Dorothy to clean her room. The witch makes her trip and give her one slipper. Dorothy is so angry she pours water on the wich. All of a sudden the witch melts.
When the witch is dead Dorothy calls her flying monkeys. They take them back to the Emerald city. The wizard is surprized to see them. He talks to them through a microphone. Toto understands where it is coming from. He pulls the curtain and sees the wizard. The wizard has to tell everyone he is actually a simple man from Kanzas. Even though he isn’t a wizard he did grand their wishes. When it comes to Dorothies turn he gets the baloon ready, but when Dorothy is about to get in Toto runs away again. She dashes after him, but it is to late the baloon left without them.
Just then Glinda apears. She tells her the power of her shoes. All she had to do is tap her heels and wish for it.n Dorothy takes Toto and off they go back home.
The setting was wonderful and great.
I really think it was good.

There was a girl called Dorothy and had a dog called Toto .They were outside. But suddenly there was a big storm .So Dorothy ran but she couldn’t see Toto! So again she ran to find Toto and she saw a witch and she killed the witch by accidently. Then she suddenly she came to another land with Toto. Then she saw a scarecrow and looked at him and turned back and start to walk. But she heard the noise she looked at back..But there was no one except scarecrow and Toto. Then she start to walk. But again she heard the noise. So she came to scarecrow and stared at him. Then Toto started to bark. Then suddenly scarecrow started to talk. So Dorothy helped him to move. Then she asked why are you standing up here. So he answered he doesn’t have brain so he wants the brain. Then they walked for a mile. Suddenly the bad witch was lying down on the something hard and then reply why did you kill my sister? and then Dorothy answered it was not on purpose.
Then Dorothy and Toto also Scarecrow was walking then they saw woodcutter lying down and reply please give some oil so Dorothy gave oil to his mouth and leg also arm then he started to move. And then they started to walk again to go to witch’s castle. Then they saw a lion and they all got surprised by the lion. But the lion was not brave. So also the lion joined to find a witch’s castle.
They all went to men’s house who can help them. So Dorothy knocked the door. And tell the reason why she came so he answered you have to kill the witch if you want to go back, and the others also told why they came. Then they went the castle and Dorothy got caught by people from the witch’s castle. But when she saw the witch by accidently she dropped the bucket then the water splashed to her and the witch was melted away. So scarecrow had the brain and the lion had a brave and also the men had the kindness .Also Dorothy got back to her house with Toto. So they made it.
I think Mr. Boardman should watch it because it is interesting and also it is really fun especially the Toto. he ! Mr. Boardman you should watch it!

My review about the performance “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”!

Today I was in the BISI theatre watching a show by the secondary kids!
The show was called: “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!”
The story was about a girl, who’s name was Dorothy and her dog Toto!
When there was a tornado in their village Dorothy and her Aunt Emily and Uncle Henry ran into their house and when Dorothy came out of the house she was in a different world…!
Later Dorothy met the villagers of that land and asked them how she could get back home. The villagers told her to meet the wonderful wizard of Oz. But they said it would take her and Toto very long to go to the Emerald city.
On the way to the city they met 3 friends. One of them was the Tin Man without a heart; another one is the Scarecrow that has no brain and the lion, which is scared of everything. They also desperately need to see the Wizard because they want to change themselves. The Lion would like to be brave, the Tin Man needs a heart and the Scarecrow would like to be wise. Later when they all come to the wizard of Oz they…
Wait! I should not tell you because then I will spoil it!!
Maybe I would better tell you something different!
The show was really AMAZING!!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!! It was funny, interesting and cool. All the costumes were beautiful! The best costume had the Tin Man because one of my favorite colors is shiny grey like Silver! And the Lion! I can’t think about how they could make the costume so real!
The actors were very good; they made no mistakes in their speaking parts!
The 3 guitarists, 1 piano player and even the metal plates players accompanied the performance. The music was spectacular!

At the very beginning Dorothy is at her aunt's and uncle's house. They quiet poor and live in Kansas. Soon after a freak storm comes round. Dorothy's uncle and aunt hide in the basement as Dorothy searches for her dog, Toto.
ReplyDeleteSoon afterwards they find themselves in an unknown place called Munchkinland. This is where they meet the Witch of the South. They find out that she is nice though. When the witch finds out that when Dorothy's house had fallen during the storm it had killed the evil Witch of the West she was very happy.
The evil Witch of the East runs on the stage swears revenge on Dorothy for killing her sister. Dorothy then asks the good witch how to get home. The witch tells them to follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Wizard of Oz.
On her way she first meets a talking scarecrow. When Dorothy gets him of the stick he was hanging on he turn excited (a little too excited) and kept on falling over. When she mentions she is going to see the Wizard of Oz he asked if he could come with her. He says he really wants a brain.
They then meet the Tin Man. They oil his body parts to unstiffen him as he'd asked. The Tin Man says he wants to come with them to the Wizard of Oz. He says he really wants a heart.
They then meet a talking lion in a dark forest. He says that he really wants to see the Wizard of Oz. When they ask him what he wants he says he wants courage and bravery.
So he follows them to the Wizard.
The evil witch then attacks Dorothy. She and the lion fall asleep, so the Tin Man and the scarecrow with the help of some mice defeat the witch and drag the ones that were asleep to safety.
They soon got to the Emerald City, where the Wizard of Oz lives. They asked the Wizard if they could have what they. The wizard said "I have never done a favour without a favour in return. Kill the Witch of the East and I will give you your wishes.
Later they found themselves near the witch's castle. Even though there are lots of warning signs they go into the witch's castle and set up a fight. Dorothy kills the witch by splashing a bucket of water over her.
With the help of monkeys they get back to the wizard's castle and show him the witch's broomstick as proof. As promised the wizard gives them their wishes. He sets up a balloon to take Dorothy home. He says he once lived in Kansas too. He goes with Dorothy in the balloon.
Unfortunately as soon as the balloon is ready to leave Dorothy searches for Toto who is nowhere to be seen. The balloon lifts of without them. So Dorothy goes to the good witch and asks for advice. She says that Dorothy had the power all the time but she had to figure it out herself.
She goes home and tells her uncle and aunt all about the adventure. None of them believed her, but were still glad she was back. The day goes on as usual from then on.
I think it was really good. I liked the variety of famous songs and songs to do with the adventure. I thought the band was really good and the lighting and special effects were fantastic. They also acted really well.
Dorothy got to OZ by a tornado and her dog Toto comes with her and she wants to go back home then the witch of the south arrives and says "good job you have killed the witch of the east" know only here sister is left and the kind witch gives her silver shoes .

and the scarecrow started to talk and said can i come with you if you are going to the emerald city i want a brain but can you help me of this pole .so Dorothy helped the scarecrow down and they set of following the yellow brick road.
later one they saw a tin man and he was stuck so they helped him and he said i want a heart and they told him were they were going and if he would like to go with them he said okay so they set of all together.
They walked to a jungle and met a scared lion and he told them that he wanted courage so they also told the lion if he would like to come with them the lion said yes so they went of they went .
They arrived at emerald city and they went to go talk with the wizard of OZ the wizard told all of them I haven’t done anything with out you doing me a something and the thing that he wanted them to do was kill the witch of the easts sister .
When the went their the flying monkeys took Dorothy away and said I will drop your dog into the river if you don’t give me your silver shoes Dorothy said you can take them and when the witch tried to take them of it didn’t come of so then the witch remembered that it was not possible to take the shoes off unless accident.
Then the witch said but they will come of if you die Dorothy was scared . the witch said make your self useless while your alive mop the floor . Dorothy got mad and threw water at her and the witch started to melt and everybody was so happy and she went back to the wizard of OZ .
When they got back the wizard of OZ thought they were not telling the truth but then they found out the truth about the wizard of OZ. He said sorry I will give you true things so he gave the scarecrow a brain the tin man a heart and the lion courage and he told Dorothy that he would take her home but Toto ran and the wizard of OZ had gone so the kind witch said tap your shoes 3 times and say there’s no place like home and you will be home in 3 seconds when she arrived home she told her ant and uncle what had happened they didn’t believe here and she thought it was a dream but she remembered her silver shoes so she knew it was real.
I think MR Boardman should go to it because it was very good and realistic I think it will be wroth spending your money I really enjoyed it.
