  1. The Danish Poet
Kasper forgot the intention of his trip to Sigrid Undset, and left Norway heartbroken. He then went to the doctor and said: “How can I write when I feel so sad?” and the doctor said: “Some people think that that is the best time,” Kasper tried to write, but no one appreciated his sad poems. He re-read the books by Sigrid Undset as if his answer was in there. Ingleborg was also feeling sad and regretted not disobeying her Father and marrying Kasper.
Her husband told her to cut her hair or he might twist his ankle. But she said “There are worse things in life than a broken ankle.” Then a cow fell onto his head and killed him.
Ingleborg immediately wrote to Kasper to say she was free to marry him. The postman took the letter, but cycled over a speed bump and dropped the letter and a goat ate it.
Ingleborg waited for a reply in vain whilst her hair grew and grew. She employed the local children to comb and brush it for her. One of them was a little girl who was exceptionally good at arranging Ingleborg’s hair in complicated braids, knots and elegant beehives. She was called Veslemai and became her favourite hairdresser.
Nothing happened for years until Sigrid Undset died. “You have to go to the funeral,” said Veslemai. “But why?” said Ingleborg “When a relative dies you go to their funeral. Meanwhile Kasper went to the doctor and he said he should go to the funeral.
When he got there, he was reunited with Ingleborg and then they got married. Kasper was very happy and wrote lots of poems and became very successful. But one day Kasper tripped on Ingleborg’s hair and broke his thumb.
Ingleborg then called Veslemai who was now a young woman. Veslemai got on the train to Denmark that was very crowded, but found one seat next to a young man reading one of Kasper’s books called Joy and Happiness. He was going to Kasper for inspiration. When they got there Veslemai cut Ingleborg’s hair and Kasper gave the man ideas.
Later the man and Veslemai got married and had a child.
Reasons why this version is better
    1. It had a happier ending.
    2. Ingleborg employed the local girls to comb her hair.
    3. Ingleborg and Kasper met at Sigrid Undset’s funeral.

  2. THE DANISH POET.

The priest pulls Ingeborg to the church and sadly kasper goes back to Norway. He went to the doctor and the doctor said you should write a poem but when he reads know one listens. Kasper read sigred Undset's book all the time and thought he will find a way to marry ingeborg. Ingeborg was also sad but his husband said to cut her hair or her husband would twist his ankle. But something worse happened a cow fell over ingerborgs husband.

Ingeborg wrote a letter to Kasper write away. But then it fell out the mail mans bag and a goat ate it. Ingeborg waited for a long time and her hair got longer and afterwards she took some girls from the neighbourhood to braid her hair.

Her favourite braider was a little girl called isleme she can braid so good. But soon afterwards sigred unset dies. Isleme tells ingeborg to go to the funeral. Meanwhile The doctor sais to go to the funeral. So both of them went to the funeral. Surprisingly kasper met ingeborg and they were re united with each other. Kasper became so popular of his story he wrote.

    The end

I think The Danish poet has a better ending because that has a longer ending and a more exiting ending.

  3. Kasper forgot all about his visit to Sigrid Undset. He went back home heart broken and empty handed. He went to his doctor and said how can ı write when ı’m so sad.His doctor said that some people think it is the best time to write. He tried to write but no one cared about his sad poems. He read the book again and again as if the cure for his broken heart was in the book.Ingeborg was sad too.Her husband said to her that she’d better cut her hair before he trips in it and twists his ankle.Ingeborg said that there are worse things than a twisted ankle. Then something worse did happen. One of the cows fell down on her husband.Ingeborg imidiatly wrote a letter to Kasper saying that she was now free and she marry him.The letter fell out of the bag while the postman was taking it.The letter flew away and a goat ate it.So Kasper didnt recive the letter.Ingeborg waited and waited meanwhile her hair grew very long.So she decided to employ the children in the neighbour hood to comb and brush her hair. One of them was a little girl who was very good at doing Ingeborg’s hair in complicated designs. Her name was veslemay and she was Ingeborg’s favorite hairdresser.Ingeborgs life passed on for years until Sigrid Undset died.Veslemay told her that she needed to go the funeral.Ingeborg said that she didnt need to go because she was Danish. When a relative dies you go to the funeral weather they were Danish or not.She went to the funeral.Kasper was very upset of that.He went to his doctor. His doctor told him he needed to go to the funeral. He didnt want to go because the funeral was in Norway. His doctor told himto just go.Kasper didnt like to be reminded of death but he went anyway and he was happy of that because he and Ingeborg finaly met.she was happy because she could cut her hair.Kasper said that he liked her hair the way it is.They went home and Kasper found out that some poets are better happy than sad.He published a poetry collection called joy and happy which was published in many different languages it also became a bestseller. She was happy too but she was concerned about her split ends.Kasper one day tripped in her hair and broke his thumb. She called Veslemay who was now a young woman. She went straignt away. The only seat on the train was next to a young man who was reading Kaspers book.He said that Kasper was his favorite poet and that he was going to visit him. They all went home.Veslemay cut Ingeborg’s hair and soon Velemay and the young man fell in love with each other.
I think this one is better because it was mor interesting ,it had more detail and it was longer.

  6. The priest took Ingeborg to the church and sadly Kasper left.He couldn't think of anything. So,he went to the doctor. There, he asked him how could he write when he feels so bad. Then, the doctor told Kasper that some people think it is the best time to write.

He wrote his sad poems but no one tried to listen....

One day, sigrid unset died and Ingeborg and Kasper both came to the funeral. They met each other and they were so happy that they decided to get married.
And they lived happily ever after and Ingeborg could finally cut her hair.

I think the danish poet was better than mine because it had a better ending than mine .In my story, the farmer wasn't happy but in the danish poet, everone's happy at the end.

  7. The Danish Poet

Kasper gets very sad and goes back to Denmark. But when he is gone, the farmer gets injured by a cow, which falls on him. Ingelburg is very happy that the farmer is in the hospital. So then, she writes a letter to Kasper that she is free and that she can marry him. But when she gave the letter to the mail man, he dropped it on the way and a goat ate it…

Ingelburg waits for a long time but nobody comes and no letter arrives, and by that time her hair grows and grows. Then she decides to let some kids brush and style her hair. Her favorite small hairdresser becomes a girl called Veslemai.

Years pass and the writer Sigrid Undset dies. Kasper is very sad this as Sigrid was his favorite writer. Then he went to his Doctor and shared the sad news. The Doctor told him, no matter in which country the funeral will be, he should go there. Veslemai recommends Ingelburg to do the same. When Kasper arrives, he meets Ingelburg in the church and both are very happy to see each other. They decide to get married and go to Denmark together.

Then one day, when Ingelburgs even longer hair was unbraided, Kasper tripped over her hair and broke his thump. Ingelborg decided it was time to cut her hair and called Veslemai, who was no longer a little girl, she was a young lady. Veslemai took the train to go to Ingelburg. The train was very crowded and the only available place was next to a young man called Peter who was reading one of Kasper’s books, called Happiness and Joy. He told Veslemai the he was going to Denmark to meet his favorite writer in Denmark and get some inspiration. Veslemai said that she was also going to the same place and that she knows his favorite writer.

When they arrived, Kasper and Ingelburg were waiting for them. And when they arrived home, Veslemai cut Ingelburgs hair so that nobody can trip over again. And Kasper showed Peter is books and told him about them. By that time, Veslemai and Peter fell in love and they got married afterwards. Afterwards, they had a child together.

Reasons why this version was better:

    1. It had a more interesting and happier ending.
    2. It had a better description on how they met.
    3. For me, the whole story was more interesting.
