You are going to write an adventure story and use what you have learnt from Science this week.
You are going to blast off in a rocket from Earth and you are going to visit 3/4 different planets.
- think about how long it's going to take (you might need a light speed rocket!)
-what the planets are like
- who might you meet there.....think about what creatures/aliens might live there and why. You can make them up but they have to be able to live on a cold/hot planet.
Think of punctuation- capital letter, full stops, paragraphs, connectives, adjectives etc....

This is a true story of a man called Chini. He was the first man to go to Neptune, mars and mercury In 9 years and took him 3 years for him to reach to reach one of the planets.
So this is the a biography of Chini. so this how it went.
"Ready for take of" said m.c (Mission control) So Chini went on his space craft and got ready for lift of." I am all ready" said Chini. computer sais 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 blast off! So the first planet he went to was mercury. He landed at a flat hard ground or DID HE!!
He was walking on mercury It was steaming hot but in the distance he saw a city covered with glass to keep it protected from the heat. But when he ran back his space craft sunk in the HOT LIQUID!! so he went to that small glass area. But there he saw a man made out of rock and all the aliens or what ever they are. So Chini asked one of them to ask if there was any spacecraft. He said yes. "so that was enough of that place" Chini said.
So he went to mars just the next planet from earth.

ReplyDeleteHe landed at mars he thought he saw some thing when landing on mars. He landed where he something. He walked forward to it and found a tent that looked like it came from earth. He went in and saw a HUMAN named bob. in there!!!!!!!!!! What a great surprise. So he saw the atmosphere it was nice but no oxygen. So he took bob. with him and they went to Neptune. "Wow it is cold here" said bob they were walking but suddenly

Chini slips in a high mountain bob tried to give him a hand but they both slipped and hit there self on icicles and they both DIED!!!!!
His body still remains and his space craft. Will anybody find it!!!
THE THREE PLANETS!!!!!!!!
DeleteOne day Joe woke up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare he had. The nightmare was about Joe walking in space without a helmet, he couldn't breath. he could see the sun clearly and his eyes were becoming damaged. That morning his dad said "we are going to find out about three planets in our solar system which are Neptune, Mars and Venus we will go on a rocket that can travel at the speed of light."
They were wondering if there would be monsters on Neptune like flame giants so he didn't become cold or on venus a monster full of lava on it and on mars a giant rock monster. Joe could see the humongous space craft outside on the green grass like Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world). It was all rusty on the space craft and there were lots of buttons and switches. There were lots of dehydrated food in a cupboard. The view from the window on the front was amazing.
It was time to get blasted into space 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 BLAST OFF!!!!!!!! the rocket went blasting in the speed of straight away into space without a problem his Joe watched his dad switching the levers and buttons up and down click click click he could see neptune floating away in front of them 10 seconds later they landed on Neptune it was about -203 celsius. there were frozen animals on Neptune like whales,sharks and some fiery aliens I was wearing about 149 layers of coats on me. It looked like I was the fattest person in the universe it was really boring on neptune so we went back on the space ship and traveled to Venus we could see all the lava ahead of us and some giants with lava and small mountains on them. It looked quite dangerous we were going to have to land somewhere without lava near it so when we landed we noticed it was burning hot and that we could stay there for much longer we had to wear shorts and short sleeved shirts all the lava lit up the planet and we could no longer see the space craft we were too far away.
Joe ran back to the space craft because he was sweating so much he was about too drown
he had too wait for his dad to get on the space craft.
Then they shot up into space to get to Mars Joe could see Olympus Mons it was three times the size of mount everest then suddenly they crashed all the lights got turned of and Joe and his dad were facing death they could no longer breath…
One night my father woke me up and said “Tomorrow you are going on the LSR on your first mission.” My father was very keen for me to travel and explore our solar system. He was a bit too old for such an adventure.
ReplyDeleteEarly the next morning I went to the LSR platform because if I went by car it would take me three hundred and sixty one very, very long years to get to Mars!! To be honest, I was a little bit scared to go to space but two minutes later I was strapped in and on my way. It took me so long to get there. When I finely got there I saw the black lava from when the volcano erupted, it looked like the perfect place to sunbathe. After a while I got bored and decided to explore and see if there were any aliens. Luckily I didn’t come across any. When I got back I got a snack. When I looked out the window I saw a fire breathing dragon coming towards me so I decided to head to Jupiter. Oh and Jupiter’s core is the size of the earth.
When I got there I knew I could not stay long because its colour was hypnotizeng me and it was made out of gas. Next I went to Neptune and when I got there I put 20 jackets on and I was still cold so I left right away. That was more than enough adventure for my first trip.
A couple of hours later I entered earth’s atmosphere and I never went back…
One morning when ı woke up ı called my friend Amina and ı asked her if she wanted to have an adventure and she said ok.We met at the cafe then we went to the space senter and went to the planets Mars,Saturn and Neptune.First we went to Mars it had a rocky surface and it was we saw volcanoes,mountains,deserts,polar ice caps and some more things.It took us four years to get to Mars.Next we went to Saturn.Just when the rocket was landing Amina said that she had seen something or some one pass by.We went out to look but we didnt notice any thing. Saturns core has a rocky surface and it is made of gas.Our last stop was Neptune it was very cold so we put on some coats but even with the coats we were cold.Neptune is a very cold planet Amina said and it is -214 degrees.yes it is the coldest planet ı said.We were walking when we saw a person with a dog.The person was shivering and so was the dog we asked the person if they wanted to come with us and they said yes.While we were walking back to the rocket a polar bear family started to run after us. The polar bear family looked angry so we ran as fast as we could back to the rocket and went back to our houses and the person and dog went to their house.We didnt want to go back to Neptune because it was very cold and we didnt want to meet that bear family again.
ReplyDeleteOn one fine morning my father woke me up and told me that today was my big day, I was going to space an I was going to land on three planets in our solar system. Those planets were mercury, saturn and neptune. I was so excited! I was going on a spacecraft that could travel at the speed of light! I was brave and decided to go alone, nothing was going to make me change my mind.
ReplyDeleteI arrived at NASA and began to make my way to the spacecraft. My heart was beating faster and faster as I walked to the launch pad. I sat down in the spacecraft, I was strapped in and ready for take off. The count down began, 3, 2, 1, blast off! I was launched into space and made my way to mercury.
I arrived, I landed on mercury and I saw huge buildings made out of rock. I walked around on the boiling hot planet and wondered who could have made them. Suddenly what seemed to be a space goblin walked up to me. I was a bit frightened at first but they were friendly. There were so many of them I would have loved to stay there and see more in their planet, but it was too hot, my body heating up in my suit, I had to leave, I went somewhere cooler.
When I landed in neptune, it was freezing cold every time a drop of water fell it would transform into ice! Then I wished I was back in mercury but I had to finish my mission, and so I explored. Under the ice I saw a huge sea dragon swim. Suddenly it began to shake the ice beneath me. The ice began to crack and so I ran to the spacecraft.
I took off to saturn, when I reached saturn's atmosphere, there was a lot of fog and clouds, I could not see a thing! Then, the aircraft started to shake I saw a giant flying alien! He kept shaking my aircraft! I Luckily had a laser in my aircraft, I shot my laser, and the alien flew away.
I felt that was enough exploring so returned to earth, I flew back into the earth's atmosphere. The aircraft was shaking, I closed my eyes and hoped I would land safely. I then slowly opened my eyes and saw the runway. As I carefully landed, I saw a huge crowd cheering, as I got out, I was called a hero.

ReplyDeleteAli was really excited because today his rocket (T-100) was to take off to Jupiter, Uranus and Mercury. The rocket traveled at 1000000000000000000 mph so it would not take that long to get to Jupiter or Uranus.
Ali decided to take his best pets Lassie and Sheroo with him, (they were both Persian cats.) Only one hour was left for take off so a final check was made. Both the cats were suited in there space suits and now it was time for Ali to get ready.
The countdown was going to begin in just 5 minutes. Everyone was so excited because it was the first ever flight in space about to go so far. Now only 2 minutes were left for the countdown. Ali was quiet scared because he wondered how cold it would be on Uranus. Now only 30 seconds were left for the countdown, 15 seconds, 10 seconds, 10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1! BLAST OFF.
In no time Ali and his cats were in space. The earth looked very beautiful from space it looked like a ball made out of water and trees. Ali then looked at the sun and compared it to all the planets it looked like a ginormous house compared to the planets. Ali remembered that I have a mission so he continued with his journey. His first stop was going to be at Mercury the hottest planet in our solar system. It took Ali about 2 days to reach there because of his T-100 rocket which goes 10000000000000000mph. On his way he saw meteoroids which were going so fast they caught fire. Now Ali's shift was over and he brought his trained pet Sheroo to take over.(Lassie did not fly because she was feeling a bit sick). After a long time of waiting they finally reached.
Sheroo was about to get out when Lassie vomited, she was giving signs that she is about to give birth to 2 by what Ali knew. Ali did not know how to take care of a cat who was about to give birth. The 2 kittens came out and they were beautiful but Lassie would get sick if she came out and her kittens did not have an oxygen mask so Ali and Sheroo were the first people to step on Mercury because they stepped togeather. Ali told the mission controller everything that happened so far and the news spread around the hole world very quickly.
Ali decided to stay with the cats to take care of them and told Sheroo to gather information. (Just collect scientific stuff.) So Sheroo went.
"Everything will be fine Lassie dont worry," said Ali to Lassie.
"Meow meow", meowed Lassie.

Meanwhile Sheroo found out that Mercury is the closest planet to the sun that is why it is sooooo hot. He also found out that Mercury is to small to have an atmosphere. Mercury is also the smallest planet first it was Pluto but now Pluto is not a planet. Sheroo also started to collect some rocks that will be experimented on when they get on the rocket. While Sheroo was collecting this he could sense the smell of some creature, Sheroo looked up and saw a boy he did not have an oxygen mask so Sherro quickly grabbed and ran to his rocket and put the boy in the rocket so he could breathe again. The boy thanked Sheroo a lot. He told his name was Fernandes, Ali rememberd him he was his school friend at BISI. Ali gave him a space suit and then told the mission controller about this boy.
ReplyDeleteAgain the news spread across the whole world very quickly.Next Ali gave Fernandes some fruit to eat, Fernandes was very hungry and gulped alll of it.
"You were very hungry, so how did you get here."
"I dont know myself one day i slept and the next day I woke up I was here and I had stopped my breathe for 5 minutes.
" Wow, that is long,"
It was getting late so they decided to sleep.
Lassie could not sleep because she was in pain, but when she did they did not know what was going to happen.......

The next day they woke up they noticed that Lassies to kittens had gone.....
ReplyDeleteAli and Sheroo went looking they had looked everywhere except one place the cave that has signs in latin on it. But Sheroo and Ali took on any challenge to save the kittens. They entered the cave and they saw a dragon about to throw two kittens in the stew. The dragon dropped them they were about to go in the stew but Sheroo jumped and caught them then Sheroo threw them to Ali and Sheroo bit the dragon. The dragon started to cry, Ali got sad and asked what happened. The dragon said I have no food, Ali then gave him some fruits, the dragon got so happy and said I will never do this again.
It had been a long time Mercury and they still had to go to Jupiter and Uranus so Ali and his team decided to take off and go to Jupiter. Now Lassie was feeling fine and she was going to fly the T-100 for 12 hours. Fernandes wanted to go for a space walk and Ali agreed. Ali could not take the risk of losing any cats so he kept them in. Ali and Fernandes played tag, it was a lot of fun because there was no gravity. Suddenly a rock hit Fernandes so Ali quickly grabbed him and put him in the rocket and told Lassie to quickly go. Luckily the rocks did not hit the rocket. On the journey Ali noted a lot of things about space, he learned that there are asteroids in space like the shape of potatoes. He also learned that most shooting stars are the size of a speck of dust.
Now Lassies shift was over and Ali had to fly. Now only 36 space hours were left to arrive at Jupiter. Ali was getting board flying the craft he told Fernanades to take over the deck meanwhile Ali played with the cats and kittens, giving them the name of astrocats. It was time to sleep so the craft was put on auto. When we woke up Lassie and Sheroo were having an argument for some reason. Then we saw Jupiter and started preparing for landing. They decided Ali will do the landing because he is most epearinced. In no time we were on Jupiter. It was a HUGE gas giant with rocks and stuff. Around it Ali saw a ring made out of rocks that are being pulled by Jupiters gravity. Ali told Fernandes and Sheroo to collect information. They found out that the eye on Jupitter is a storm. While they were going they met a harmless alien and he told Fernandes a few interesting facts about Jupiter. The alien said that there are about 62 or 63 moons that Jupiter has, then he told them a fact thet Jupiter is the biggest planet and is shiny so it can be seen without a telescope in the night sky. Then he also told us that Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun and produces most of the heat on it with its own energy.
Next the team decided that instead of going to Uranus they will go to Neptune the coldest planet in our solar system. The team decided to put on the extra powere boost which makes the rocket go at 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999mph.
ReplyDeleteSo they would reach at Neptune in only 90 minutes. This time the whole crew is going to sit at the deck. They decided to double the speed so they reach in 45 minutes. In no time the team were peparing for landing, they had decided that only Ali will go out on Neptune. They had already landed and they saw a lightish darkish blue colour on the floor. This time they did not want much information they just needed a sketch of it. Fernandes was the best at drawing so he drew it. They also hoped there were no aliens and luckily they were not.
The sketch was already ready, so they decided to examine the rocks the found on Mars. There was nothing so speacial so they headed back to earth. By mistake Fernandes pressed the button which said caution and the craft went at the speed of light. In no time they had crashed, they had no idea where they were and there oxegen masks had come of but they were not out of breath.
This mean they were on EARTH! all the ambulances rushed at the crash site and everyone was in on piece. The team was awarded 2000000 grand euros. The news had spread all over the world, people thought thta the impossible had happened but nothing is impossible

ReplyDeleteOne morning, I woke up and went to the mailbox to check if I had mail. When I went outside I saw something very weird, the mailbox was shining in every colour!!! I ran very fast to it and found a letter, which said:
“Hello, we are the Saturnians, we saw Hee Jae and your presentation about our planet! When you put the sound of Saturn we could hear whatever you said through this voice channel, and we thought it was AMAZING!!! As you are so much interested in Saturn we thought you should take a closer look! On our Saturnian council we decided to invite you to our planet where you could have some adventures with us!!! If you want to come, just follow these rules:
*First you go to the middle of your backyard (tomorrow at 9am.);
*Then you stand there for 5 minutes, and wait for us;
*After, we will come and pick you up.
Ps: Don’t bring your toothbrush and toothpaste because in Saturn the teeth clean themselves. And don’t bring shampoo or a hairbrush for your hair because here they take care of themselves as well!”

I was overjoyed; Hee Jae and me could be the first kids in space! I very quickly ran to her house to show her the letter and she decided to go with me!
The next morning we quickly packed our stuff and ran to the middle of the backyard and waited…
Exactly after 5 minutes we heard something coming closer and closer, and then smoke appeared! When we went closer we saw creatures looking like us, but with more hair on their skin! One of them came closer and introduced himself as a Saturnian King.
“Hello girls, are you ready for adventures?” The King asked.
“Yes” said Hee Jae and we both ran inside of the Rocket!
But before we made our final decision if we go or not I asked:
“How long will it take us to get there, we don’t want to stay in space for 5 years! As we know the fastest spacecraft New Horizon could only make it in 2 years and 4 months, with a speed of approximately 57K km/hour!!!”
“Oh, don’t worry girls! It will only take us 1 day as our spacecraft is flying 50 million km per hour!” said the King.
“Wow you must have a very fast rocket, it also looks amazing!!!! Can you imagine flying on a plane; it could take us 65 thousand years to get there!”
“Wow, that is a very long time!” laughed the King.
The flight was not long, it took us a day to get to Saturn! But then I asked:
“How can you live on Saturn, if it is a gas planet?”
“And what is your name?” Hee Jae interrupted.
“Well, I am Plutino the Great! And you will see how we live, just be patient!

ReplyDeleteWhen we arrived we noticed that Saturn still looked like a normal planet, and we did not understand what Plutino meant when he said: You will see!”
“Put the suits on and follow us!” said the King, while he was giving us the suits.
When we put the suits on we followed them…
Then when we reached the gas area of Saturn we could not see anything! I looked at window because it was foggy.
And then believe it or not a golden door appeared right in the middle of Saturn’s 11,700-degree core! And it was boiling even when you were quite far away from it!!!!! We couldn’t believe our eyes so we went in quickly to see if it was real!
When we opened the door we saw houses and shops and other people walking around! Just like at home on our planet, it even wasn’t so hot anymore!!! Hee Jae and me put our suits off, and then we were amazed that the air was also the same!! Later when we came to a big castle, we saw Plutino!
“Where were you? I was waiting for you for so long!” He said.
Hee Jae and me looked very confused but we did not mind. We asked the King were we should sleep. And the King said we could sleep in his CASTLE!!!!!
On the next day we went to the MFJ (Mega fast Jet) area, the King let us go to 2 different Planets! I chose Pluto and Hee Jae chose Venus.
When we sat in the Jet, Plutino put the navigation system on and wished us good luck!
In the middle of our way we put the music on and did not notice that we were going towards the SUN!!!!
“Are we nearly there?” I questioned and looked at the window…
“We are heading towards the Sun!!!!!!” shouted Hee Jae and ran to the controls…
“Help!!!!!!!!!!” We screamed!
Also something happened that all the controls or buttons did not work!!!!
“Who will rescue us now” We started crying! We thought nobody would rescue us! But then we saw another Jet coming and in it was Plutino who then made a magical ring that went around our Jet! Can you imagine we were saved!!
When we came back to Saturn the king apologized, he said that 2 girls who did not finish their homework properly made this jet and therefore the navigation system was navigating wrong. Now the girls were fixing the mistakes. “Do you want to use my Jet? It can fly almost 3 times faster than the Rocket we came on! ” Questioned the King and showed it to us; it was made of glass, and it had everything! Even a button to see what is happening on Earth!
It took us also a day to fly. We can’t believe ourselves that in one day we overcame 3. 186 billion km! The speed of the Saturnian King spacecraft was 2.66 times higher. When we arrived on the cold icy Pluto we saw a paper, which said: “Skating competition today at 5pm! 2 more people can come. Just sign up on this paper and you will be in!”
Both of us decided to go. We put our names and waited, it was also getting cold so we put our ski costumes on and waited in the rocket where we were enjoying our chocolate! Oh, I forgot to tell you where we got it from, we got it from the chocolate button! Remember, this Jet has every button!

At 5pm we went to the skating place and then saw all the other alien racers that were going against us! We found our skates on the bench, it even wrote our name on it! When we put the skates on Hee Jae and I tried to stand up but we fell! We tried again and we did it, then we carefully skated to the START!!!!
ReplyDelete“On your marks, get set, go!!” shouted the judge and all of went!
For some reason every alien was skating differently so we did it as well! Hee Jae and I skated like chickens! And believe it or not we won! We thought this was a joke but it was not!
“And the winners of the crazy skating race are Maxima and Hee Jae!
“Oh, now I understand why everybody was skating weirdly!” I whispered to Hee Jae.
We will give you this ring that is like a portal to Pluto, and the instructions are already in your new rocket! WE HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!!!”
“But, we already have, a rocket.” I said.
“Yes, we do.” Hee Jae added,
“Don’t worry, it’s already at your house!” said the judge.
We thought for a while and then agreed that it can stay, and we said goodbye!
After cold Pluto we went to Venus, another 4.5 billion km. Before Venus had water but now it doesn’t any more because it is getting hotter. And on the flight to Venus we also saw Earth! It looked very cool from space, like a very colourful ball!
When we came to Venus we did not see anything except for volcanoes so we decided to stay in the Jet but then…
A GRAVITATIONAL PULL OF A CAVE CAUGHT US!!! We were going round and round, we started to feel a bit sick so we did not look and waited…
“Hello, anybody here?” whispered Hee Jae.
“Wait for me I got I flashlight!” I shouted and followed her.
Later we saw a giant mine with Saturnians down there digging for water!
“Hi! Do you want to help?” asked one of them,
“Oh, we would love to but, we have to go to Saturn very soon, and we might even be late!” shouted Hee Jae and ran to the Jet!
“Good luck with the digging!” I said and went after Hee Jae!
When we flew out of that cave we were overjoyed because it was boiling there!
And when we started the Jet it said: WARNING!!!! You can only fly directly to Saturn because you don’t have enough fuel left.
“Oh no, what if there is not enough fuel to go to Saturn as well.” I sighed,
“Don’t worry Maxi, we can manage this, I promise.” Said Hee Jae and started the Jet.
“We are there!!!!” I shouted.
“Yay!!!!!! We did it!” Hee Jae shouted as well.
We were happy and a bit sad at the same time, we were happy because we arrived safely but sad that we had to go back to Earth!
“Welcome back girls, we hope you enjoyed all your adventures in the Solar system! Take this unusual coin with you, it will always remind you of all the adventures you had here and…
WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!” said the king and sent us to the rocket where the drivers were the two girls…
When we came back home we thought these girls are very similar to us, they were funny intelligent and were very nice to us!
“Do you see that shining thing over there?” I asked Hee Jae,
“What thing?”
“THE JET WE GOT FROM PLUTO!!! LETS TRY IT OUT!!!!” I shouted.
“I see you are very exited Maxi, but I think you will have to wait until tomorrow, because it is very late.”
“Ok fine, but very early! Bye!!!” I shouted and ran home.
“See you!!!!” Hee Jae shouted and ran home as well!

One day in 1955 a man wanted to go to Uranus, Jupiter and Mars his name was Jack a man said you want to go to space Jack said yes the man said meet me at 6:00 at the NASA station. When he arrived there he saw all the people getting ready to go the man said these are your team mates Tom and Mac but it was not time to meet cause they were going fast to the rocket entrance they got in as fast as they could the counting started .5.4.3.2.1.Launch......
ReplyDeleteWhen they were in space it took them 22 months to go to mars when they landed they put a robotic machine the would taken pictures when they go. They Jack said I found water but it is frozen they saw a foot print and followed it and saw an red alien near a rock when it went they got the rock and went at the space ship and flew away to Jupiter.When they arrived they saw all the moons grabbed the rock of the floor and looked back and saw a alien. The alien did not kill him but it fought it wanted to steal things from Jupiter so when they got in the rocket he came to so he was like a pet so the last planet was Uranus.....
We arrived said Tom we have to be careful he picked up the rock but aliens that were blue surrounded him and trapped them whit no food no shelter in the wind after 2 weeks they escaped went in the rocket and flew away but forgot to get fuel. The End!!!
10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1... Blast off! The rocket blasts off earth. Quickly reaching light speed the rocket ship lands on Neptune. The planet Neptune. Thelanet Neptune is an ice planet and one of the biggest in our solar system. It is also a gas planet. To allow the astronauts to move around they have jet packs. The creatures of Neptune have 10 inches of fur on them. They have two legs and two arms. Two eyes and they look like wolves. They are very creepy looking and don't like visitors. Now we are off to Jupiter one of the largest gas giants. I went to the storm, it is the red dot. We still need jet packs to fly around because we are afraid there is no ground. The gas is high above ground.
ReplyDeleteNow we are off to mars! When we got there, there where Martians. They live in civilized cultures. They have three arms on each side of their body and three legs. They where friendly creatures. They helped us back on our rocket.
Now off to Mercury! The creatures there had no hair and they where nude. We had to have swim wear when we where there. As we went back home we got in the gravitational pull of Venus. The creatures there had the shape of round balls that are two feet tall and green. They helped us back on our ship and we went home.

DeleteIt was the 28th of August in the year 3000 and space mission Apollo 18 by NASA was about to lift off, destination Uranus. The 3 astronauts on board were Kyle Richardson, Robin Clary, and Steve Smith. They were all buckled up as the countdown began. “10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Houston we have lift-off” was said through a microphone. The spaceship would be traveling at 2.5 billion km per hour and would reach Uranus in 112 days.
ReplyDeleteThere was an amazing view where you could see lots of stars and as a little speck in space, no bigger than a pixel to a human’s eye, was their destination. They could now see Mars and its moons, Phobos and Deimos, clearly and would pass them tomorrow. Then suddenly disaster struck. Their very reliable asteroid detector spotted something coming their way. It was coming from behind them and the detector said it would hit them in a single day. Robin and Steve started to panic, but Kyle, the mission leader and a very experienced astronaut did otherwise. He calmed the other astronauts down and told him his plan. They all hurriedly agreed and changed the rockets course. They took turns keeping the shuttle aligned with their new destination while the others got some sleep. Tomorrow was a big day.
As they planned they headed for Mars, to escape the path of the asteroid. They had timed it perfectly, giving them enough time to make the turn and head for Mars. They were now inside Mars’s atmosphere and landing. High above them was the asteroid flying past them. They had agreed to stay there for a day, maybe finding some new data in the process. They sometimes looked up at the asteroid; now right above them thinking what might have happened if they missed Mars. They waited for it to pass and then set off. Their next obstacle was the Asteroid Belt.

If you remember that last adventure about that single asteroid, think of that as a mouse nibbling on your toe compared to the asteroid belt. You can never take your focus off dodging asteroids for 2 days. When they finally got out of the mayhem they took turns steering the craft while the others got some rest. They could see Jupiter now which they would reach in a month. Finally they saw Jupiter, with its orange colour, its massive storms, lots of moons and its humongous body. You probably guessed it and yes, disaster struck again. They saw a leak in the engine where litres of oil were running out. Steve checked the scale. They had to fix it before 2:30 pm tomorrow or they would never make it. They made a quick decision choosing to land on Jupiter’s biggest moon, Ganymede.
ReplyDeleteThey did this successfully and Kyle went out to fix the hole. When it was fully fixed it was 1:30 pm. They could not afford another leak or they would be done. They set off on their way to the next planet they would pass, Saturn. They were all expecting something to happen near Saturn but luckily it went fine and in 3 weeks their mission would be complete when they reached Uranus. 2 weeks and 6 days later Kyle was reading through some books with sightings of what seem like aliens. They had planned their landing, using a special device to land without sinking into the ice, making the craft weightless. The astronauts though, would be limited to only being able to float and taking a look rather than standing on the ice. Then Robin spotted something…
“M-M-M-M-Monster!” he mumbled quietly. The other two turned around and saw it too. “Aaaaaahhh” they all screamed. This time it was Steve’s turn to be the hero. He got out a knife and slashed at the beast. It roared more annoyed than hurt. It was pretty much like the Loch Ness monster but looked like ice. He sliced again and felt that the monster had fur, which was the colour of ice. That hit had left the monster hurt, and it was bleeding what looked like water. Steve took 2 more hits at the beast before it fell and the ice cracked and it fell into endless darkness. “How did you do that?” asked Kyle, still confused. “When I was in high school I did a little fencing,” he said. They radioed back to Earth telling them what had happened. Mission Control was overjoyed to hear them safe. The astronauts would be arriving home in 4 months, exactly on Easter day.
When they got back they were given a hero’s welcome by the president and received medals and badges for they’re work. They lived on to tell this story to anyone asking them about if monsters exist or whether they had seen one before.
A Wild Space Adventure:
ReplyDeleteIn my dreams I have often dreamed about taking a space adventure. My spacecraft was a light speed rocket that took off and landed on any planet. I took off from the NASA Space station in Florida. It was the fastest spacecraft of all time. On the trip, I went to visit Uranus, Neptune and Venus. Don’t worry, no one got burned to death on Venus because we had special equipment that protected us from the sun.
Here is my most recent dream. “5, 4, 3, 2, 1 blastoff!! First we are going to go to Neptune it will take us a little while to get there. It is almost 4.3 billion kilometers away. When we arrive on Neptune an ice-breathing dragon attacked us. “What are we going to do?” I asked. We had no idea; just then out of nowhere an asteroid hit the ice-breathing dragon. “That was a close call,” Bob said. “I think that is an enough exploring on Neptune. I think that we should go onto the next planet, which is going to be Uranus.”
We fastened our seat belts in our light speed rocket and took off for Uranus. Uranus is almost 2.2 billion kilometers from Neptune. When we were getting to Uranus we accidentally went through Uranus’s rings. It did not really damage the spacecraft because Uranus’s rings are not that wide and the spacecraft is very fast. “Finally we have landed on Uranus” said Bob. “Man, I did not expect it to be colder than Neptune! I think that this might be the coldest planet in the solar system,” I said. “I do not think that we have very good clothes for this cold weather. I think we should head back to Earth now.” Bob said. “How could I forget, we have a telescope to see how many moons Uranus has. I can count 27 moons,” I said. “That sounds right,” said Bob.
Before we go back let’s make one more stop close to Earth. Let’s go to Venus, please fasten your seat belts 5,4,3,2,1 … blastoff! As Venus appeared in the spacecraft window Bob said, “look it is almost the same size as Earth”. I agreed and said, “Look at all of the volcanoes.” A little while later we landed on Venus. Thank goodness we had our special space suits because it was really hot. Bob and I got out of the spacecraft to go see a volcano. Suddenly, a big ugly lave monster attacked us with fireballs. We ran very fast back to the spacecraft. Fireballs hit the spacecraft and started the engines. We made a very fast trip back to Earth.
Okay Maxi, Now its the time for you to listen! I said.

" Wrong." It is definietely not a joke". I said.
"How about going to Mars to get some chocolate 'mars'?
I asked.
"You probably know that you are saying something crazy, Don't ya???"
Maxi said.
I have tell you that Maxi is my best friends nick name and her name is Maxima but it is not important in our story....
" Okay, Just calm down and listen!!!!" I said.
"Okay, Okay....." Maxi said.
" Just think about my solat express!!!!!" I said.
" So, you mean....um......you.... really...think THAT IS POSSIBLE?"Maxi aske curiously.
"Of course I do!!!" "So, Here's my plan, we fly to Mars by my Solar Express and then we would put all the Mars in the planet Mars and then, we would safely come home!!!!" I said excitedely.
" You sure about that Idea?????" Maxi said.
"Oh, Don't make the conversation long and let's just blast off!"I said.
Finally, My friend Maxi agreed with me and we both ran off to the garage and got on the Solar Express.
1.2.3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.........blast off!!!!
The space ship went through the hole I made on the top of the garage and soon, we were in space!!!!
We could see the milky way dancing and it was so shiny that I nearly went out of the space ship.
"Wow, isn't that amazing????" I asked.
"Let's get outta here and think about all those Mars chocolates we can get!!!!! I said .... thrilled.
When I almost got out of the planet Maxi was tickling me so, i nearly fell out of the space ship.
However, there was a reason why she tickled me....I FORGOT MY ASTRONAUT SUIT.
I looke back and Maxi was already wearing the suit.
By the time I finished wearing my suit, I heard a loud crash and it looked like it was from ourspace ship and outside.
We turned around and a slimy creature was there!
"What is that?" "Yuck!" We both shouted out.
"I t's an alien". Run for your lives!!! I screamed.
But, the aliens looked very nice so we went close and asked where we are.
Well, it was good that they spoke English.
They told everything about this planet and this is what I heard.
"This planet is called Saturn. I t has the largest rings throughout all these planets.
It is a very comfortable place to live. As you see these rings are as soft as a tissue."
And then they asked me why we were here and we told them everything about Mars chocolate stuff.
When me and Maxi finished the story about our journey, they told us there were no such thing as chocolates in Mars and asked us if we could live on the planet Saturn.
We couldn't deny it because they were too desperate but first I told them that I want to check with my own eyes if there were Mars chocolates in the planet Mars and it was true that there were no such thing like chocolates.
Because I was so angry about Mars chocolates, I wined and asked Maxi if we could go to our planet Earth like THOUSANTH time and finally she agreed with me.
On our way home, we heard a loud bang again like what happened to the planet Saturn.
I t was Jupiter, I hoped there were also kind aliens but none of them were there.
However, there were mean evil aliens.
When they heard the bang, they ran over and threw our space ship and us.......VERY POWERFUL!!!!
We fainted for many many hours..........It ...was....School!!!!

Title: Adventure at Space!
ReplyDeleteI was sleeping then suddenly my dad woke me up and said “You should get up !” and I asked “But why should I get up?” then said “Don’t you remember today you are going to the space! So get ready” and I just remember today I was going to the space!!! So I hurry to the bathroom. After I got dressed and I got my things and my dad went to the space station. I was so excited to go to space station.
When I arrived at the space station I was late . My friend Hazal was also going to the space. And I hurried to the rocket then there was a countdown when I just put on the seatbelt. And we were an astronauts.
After 10 seconds the rocket was flying to the space and we were looking at the solar system so we were going to the Neptune. It took 10 minutes to get on to the Neptune but it will take more time because it is very far away from the earth. When we got arrived at Neptune and we came out of the rocket it was freezing and I was so cold but Hazal didn’t look like she was not cold as me. Then I told Hazal to go inside the rocket. When I was outside of the rocket it was really freezing and there was all ice.
Now we were going to the Saturn. It didn’t take that long then the Neptune. It only took 5 minutes to get there! When I just saw Saturn it was very large. And it had very big ring around it. So I told Hazal to look at the Saturn and she was not listening. When we land on the Saturn and when we came out of the rocket it was much warmer then the Neptune so I was happy about that also Hazal was happy too. I felt scared when I looked down at the Saturn and it felt like I was
Finally I got on the rocket! And Hazal was outside and she was just staying. Then she came on the rocket `her face looked just normal. So I asked her “ Are you scared of an alien?” and she said” No” So I got surprised.
The next planet we were going to was sun. It didn’t take long to get there. But we couldn’t go to close because it was too bright!!! And I and Hazal felt so hot and we were 1 km far away! And still it was really hot, it felt like in the volcano.
After 5 minutes we couldn’t stay any longer because it was too hot so we had to go to another planet. And the planet we were going to Jupiter.
When we nearly arrive we saw Jupiter and it was very large!!! I got really surprise. And I think me and Hazal could go out of the rocket and explore Jupiter.
When the rocket landed on Jupiter it wasn’t hot because Jupiter is the 5th planet close sun. Then Hazal saw an alien with 1 big eye. So she told me there is an alien so I looked around and there was an alien with 1 big eye like Hazal told me! I ran to the rocket but I couldn’t run because I felt so heavy! And the reason I couldn’t run is that there is a powerful gravity.
When I finally reached the rocket I shouted to Hazal “Now is the time to go back to the earth” So Hazal came on the rocket . While we were going back to the earth I and Hazal were talking about some planets till we reached the earth.
When we got arrive at earth my dad was waiting and we went to the home I told what happened at the space. And I wish I could go to the space again! It was a really fantastic adventure.

ReplyDeleteMe my mum and my cat are going on a space journey today. I am very exited and happy, but I’m a bit worried for my cat because we had to have a long journey till we get into the spacecraft. This morning I took her to the vet and she told me Fluffy was okay. As usual Fluffy had one of those over exited moods. He acted very weird at lunch and he stole my food before I finished it. I was a bit angry at him for doing that but we had to go and I couldn’t really talk to him. Anyway mum is angry at me for taking him with us and she said he will get sick in the rocket and he might not survive. But I said Fluffy was strong and he will survive. The car came and the driver helped us put all the heavy bags in because we were going for 1 year (that is another reason I couldn’t leave Fluffy behind.) The journey to the rocket wasn’t as long as I thought it would be.
Mum said I should seat in the sofa at the back of the car. Fluffy came with me to the back. I was happy to be with him. I figured out I fell asleep in the sofa because I only woke up when the car stopped. I looked around the enormous giant rocket that was going to take us to space. Mum said it was special and once my grandpa flew to an unknown planet and he wasn’t seen again. Tears came up in my mum’s eyes and she said the same usual thing “It’s a sad story.”
I and my mum started climbing to the rocket and Fluffy sat in my pocket. He was too scared to look down. Well to tell you the truth I wasn’t too brave either. I had a nice cosy rest in the sofa but still wanted to go back there. The problem was I had a very bad night today and my kitten has been walking back and forth on me. I ended up locking him in his cage. He felt very ashamed of himself and now he fell asleep in my pocket. We finally got to the top of the ladder. Everyone was happy. Until…
BANG! The rocket ship blast off and my mum was just talking the man who loaded our baggage. Oh no! I was alone with just my kitten around. I couldn’t say I was too scared but I was a bit worried. I might find a way to feed myself but Fluffy left his bag in the car (That was why mum was talking to the man). Well I will find a way I always do. I will just feed him mums food because she isn’t coming now. When I fed him and me we went to the widow. What an amazing sight we saw the stars were shining so bright that it seemed they were trying to light our journey through space.

After 6 weeks we reached Neptune. Now I know it usually takes people years to get there. But I told you before we had a special rocket. It is really cold here. Actually it was -214 degrees here. My kitten woke up because of the freeze. We decided to go out to look around. Once we were walking we noticed a very friendly creature called the Freeziraffe he was covered in a thin layer of ice (it only looked like it was thin it was pretty thick for truth) and a big layer of fur under it. The paws were sticky so he doesn’t slide down. Happiness glowed in his purple eyes and his shiny fur sparkled because of the blue light coming from the planet. He said we could stay, but we refused because it was to cold here the giraffe said he understood us. Before we went he gave us all a bag which had sticks so long you would be 8 meters high if you stood on them. He probably guessed where we were going next.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven’t yet guessed then we are going to Uranus. We really needed those sticks because the surface wasn’t solid. And we needed to balance. Suddenly out came an animal his legs were as tall as a giraffe and he had flat legs so he doesn’t sink. He had a huge beak and fiery eyes, he didn’t seem friendly. We made a run for it, but the monster was already nearly touching us with his long legs. We just escaped before the monster threw him at the thick window of our rocket. HOORAY!!!! We escaped!!!!
Next on the list was Mars. It took me ½ year to get there. Mars was great but a bit to many volcanoes. We got out of the rocket and a creature was next to me it was red to camouflage with the planet. Its body was soft, so he could slide between volcanoes. And he was very fast to travel from this planet for it usually takes years for any other rocket or creature takes 2½ months to get anywhere near Uranus and Neptune. He was very scared of us so he ran away and we didn’t talk.
Later on we got into the rocket and flew back to Turkey. Everyone greeted us happily! Even my Mum was there. We were the first girl and cat to go to space. I and my cat went home with my mum. We were happy to be home. We unpacked our bags and gave mum the book I have written in space. And my mum was very interested to read it.

ReplyDeleteMinjoo. I went to meet Minjoo at her house she said how cloud we go to space I said well we cloud sneak on the next mission to space. She said that would be far too dangerous and we cloud just ask for one.
I told her that was a great idea but it would take forever to go and explore our solar system. Minjoo said, “We cloud go on a light speed rocket”. I said,” that would be great”.
We went to ask for one.
After waiting for 3 hours the man said “you get the rocket but you will need to be carful and it has the controls at the front shall I show you around the rocket ship if you like” we would love to see the rocket ship. The man showed us around we really like it. We asked him could we set of now. The man said yes you would be traveling very fast so put on your seatbelts and we will count down 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 BLAST OF.SAaaaaaahhhhh we were traveling very fast Minjoo felt sick and I did to we diced to visit mercury when we got there we were scorching hot we decided to travel around then we met a dragon that breathed out fire and we got creped out we started to run very fast it was 332degrees so we diced to go back to the rocket ship and went to Neptune.
When we got there we were freezing Minjoo said I think this place is made out of ice. I said yes it is colder then my freezer at home it is minus 353 degrees.
Wow that’s could said Minjoo. I said we should go there is a hurricane coming and I have heard it is 4 times stronger then the ones on earth and when I looked back she had already ran so I went to the rocket ship minjoo said would you like to stay here I
Said no It is freezing she said lets go somewhere else I said okay this time you chose. Minjoo chose mars.so we went to mars it was very rocky and had high mountains and we decided to climb them it was 70 degrees.
So we left minjoo asked me were shall we go and I said lets go back to earth and have a nice snack at my place and not go back to space again because I am freezing and minjoo said lets go then.
